Embark on a short and easy, yet rewarding trail that leads to Dawson Falls. Bring your camera along to capture the lush wooded scenery at various points along your journey. A leisurely pace will take about one hour to the main attraction: an impressive cascade with a height of 20 m (66 ft) and width of 90 m (295 ft). If you want even quicker access to the falls, take tour bus, as the bus parking lot lies closer to the main attraction than the general parking lot. • One can get up close to these falls, almost right on top of them..... don't fall in. Nicknamed Mini Niagra Falls, you can get an excellent view by scrambling down the well worn path and look up to see...  more »
  • Like a mini Niagara it’s an amazing 10 minute walk from the car park. Wear walking boots as it can be slippery and tree roots need navigating. Great photo opportunities and a lovely walk.  more »
  • The way to Dawson Falls is short and relatively easy. After about 15 minutes of parking, there is a beautiful view of the waterfalls. However, these are not a comparison with the Helmcken Falls, but do not need to be compared. A nice experience, which also shows the force of the water.

  • One of my favorite Wells Gray falls especially from Pyramid campground side summer or winter.
  • Dawson Falls is a great waterfall that is accessed via a short trail from the parking lot just South of the Murtle River crossing (10 minute walk), or from a trail that starts from the road to Pyramid Campground (20 minute walk). If time permits, both viewpoints are worth a visit.
  • Parking is nearby, it is a very short walk to the view points. You can view from the top of the falls or further back overlooking the entire thing. Dawson falls is one of the most breath taking views up at Wells Gray. The falls are an easy walk to get to just like everywhere in the park you have to watch for bears. There is lots of people on these trails both during tourist season and in the off season. It is between a 5 and 10 minute walk in between the viewpoints but it is definitely worth it.
  • Went in the winter, it looks like from a postcard. Beautiful
  • Another beautiful falls in Wells Gray. Also quite easily accessible, and parking close by. You can wander along the falls from multiple angles. This set is a beautiful cascading style fall. Depending on flow you can get quite close. Visited in April.
