Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park, Chilliwack

#7 of 9 in Nature in Chilliwack
Bridal Veil Falls Provincial Park is located on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Rosedale, British Columbia, Canada, part of the City of Chilliwack. The community of Bridal Falls is located adjacent to the falls and park was well as the interchange between the Trans-Canada and BC Highway 9 and has a variety of highway-based tourism services. It is located near the 38th highest waterfall in British Columbia (Bridal Veil Falls) and is commonly stated incorrectly as the 4th tallest in Canada. The falls drop 122 metres (400 feet) over a wide rock face, creating a "veil-like" effect, however, only the bottom 200–250 feet can clearly be viewed from the base, due to significant foreshortening due to the viewing-points' location at the base of very steep mountainside. It is located at the south end of the land set aside as provincial Park. Its source is from Mount Archibald and flows into Bridal Creek where it travels to Cheam Lake Wetlands Regional Park and finally to the Fraser River.During drier summer months, the volume of the water decreases significantly, reducing the visual effect of the waterfall.

  • The falls are only 10 mins uphill from the car park and are quite pretty. Worth the small walk to see them!  more »

  • Great park with beautiful falls. The hike is fairly easy, enough of an incline that you gotta actually hike but easy enough for any age as long as one can walk. There are two paths up so you can see different scenery going up, and down - one has stairs. Ample room for multiple hikers on the trail, well maintained paths and clearly marked. Dogs thoroughly enjoyed the hike also 😁
  • Seriously...who would not love this place? It’s recommended by a relative when we were heading to Vancouver. It’s amazingly beautiful and peaceful. You don’t feel it’s overwhelmingly crowded. Generally visitors respect the nature as well, so it’s just nice to enjoy the beauty together. Parking is pretty easy. There’s a gas station before the way to go up to the falls. You can park there and then walk to the falls as well.
  • Great spot for a quick hike up to see the falls. Creek along the trail, moss covered trees, picnic tables, lots of parking. Easy hike up, under 15 minutes. Trickier with walkers or strollers but take your time, it’s worth it. Viewing platform at top but many people go beyond right up to falls. It gets quite steep and a bit slick there. Even in sunny day, lots of shade from trees. Clean area and very relaxing. Gas station nearby. Great stop.
  • The hike up to the falls is both peaceful and easy. The falls are so gorgeous, the signs say to not walk any further after a certain point, but if you can climb a bit it's not hard at all. Take 20 minutes out of your trip and visit here. Its spectacular.
  • Wonderful place to visit. The hike is very short although a bit steep. You don't need to be in shape to get to the falls. It's absolutely amazing. The woods are beautiful with tall trees covered with moss. Parking was easy. There are restrooms here too. There are quite a few picnic tables available halfway towards the falls.
