  • This store was included in a tour that did in Quebec City, I don't like a lot of these inclusions, because I always sound like a place not very nice included for you to spend money. But they have some very beautiful things.

  • I have never been to a copper works and art gallery before - I hadn't realised how much copper is mined in Canada and hadn't previously given a thought to how copper work is done. This family run busi...  more »
  • Bring your credit card because they have a stack of quality stuff, although it's not cheap. Ask around for the family history with the religious works - it's fascinating.  more »

  • We booked a bus tour around Québec city and I'm happy this stop was included in the tour. After the visit of the place I started noticicing there is a lot of art de cuivre around many places in Québec. Worth the stop.
  • Famous Canadian artist working with copper. Significant talent to create these beautiful works.
  • If you're heading to the Saint-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine then you should stop in here first because Albert Gilles was the man behind the repousée work on the enormous doors of the basilica. He passed away a while back and now his daughter and grand-daughters are keeping the art of repousée alive. Some of the works on display are particularly impressive - the most unforgettable part of your visit will be the story of christ as told by Albert Gilles on a series of about four dozen repousée panels displayed in a dedicated room at the back of the museum. A wide range of pieces are on sale, from affordable copper jewelry to pieces which are so impressive you don't even ask the price. Stop in and visit - the story of christ is impressive and when you get to the basilica you'll be all the more impressed.
  • Interesting place describing wonderful works of art. Regular outside, but a lot of beautiful discoveries indoors.

  • Despite a banal exterior, very beautiful pieces, an interesting visit, and you can even try the copper work on-site.
