History Museum
Experience life as it was in the 1920s at Village historique de Val-Jalbert, an outdoor museum and former industrial village. See about 40 original-period abandoned buildings, thanks to the village's pulp mill closing down. Interact with the characters of the town dressed in traditional costume by entering into a typical family home, attending a school class, or talking with the mayor and mill workers. Step out onto the glass platform for unmatched views of the Ouiatchouan Falls, a towering waterfall with strong cascades crashing against the rock face. Village historique de Val-Jalbert is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Chambord Edition.

  • An important piece of Quebec history. We had a lovely time. You have to spend a whole day there to make the price of admission worth it. Be prepared for lots of walking.
