  • This "zoo" is amazing. We had a blast even before we entered the main attraction. They have a truly amazing insect display with some very strange bugs such as a bird eating tarantula. When we left the insects and visited the butterfly garden itself, I was amazed by the in-depth displays and the sheer volume of butterflies, bugs, animals, and fish they had in the surprisingly large atrium. Admission was surprisingly cheap and you can stay in the gardens for as long as you like! Super happy with this place, glad we made the trip out to see it.
  • A really lovely way to spend some time in nature. The butterflies are free roaming and beautiful, and a couple of exotic birds really tie the picture nicely together. Make sure you dress appropriately - it's hot!! They have a really cool display of bugs right before the butterfly garden entrance as well, which is worth seeing.
  • Beautiful place to take anyone of any age. Lots of beautiful butterflies flying around and you might even have one land on you. Worth the money for sure. Close to Butchart Gardens too so it would make a good day to do together. It's warm and humid inside the Butterfly Gardens though so dress appropriately.
  • Small but wonderful place to bring kids and adults alike to experience some beautiful animals. I often see people way overdressed here though, and little kids with too many layers to be comfy. Don't underestimate how hot and humid it is.
  • The insectarium is very cool and informative. The actual gardens have beautiful flowers and a few different kinds of birds, fish, and turtles as well as the butterflies. There are lots of informative signs and feeding areas to see the butterflies up close.
