  • This is one of my favourite places. It is surrounded by a 10 km trail, great for a weekend hike. There are several accesses to the water and even a boat ramp. Another location has a fishing float that...  more »
  • This Lake can be observed it from the main route that connects this island. It is very spacious with a very nice view. There are well-signposted trails for walking by them and one can find loose animals of local fauna

  • Not bad, but essentially turf wars between joggers, walkers, dog walkers, bikers and horse riders. Reminds me of Grand theft auto South Central LA. Lake is also polluted and people set out poison for dogs. The militant CRD patrols regularly to avoid any fun. Kids do drugs here too. Homeless people camp out deep in park. Otherwise beautiful.
  • 10Km walk around the two lakes, parking is easiest at Beaver lake. Lovely scenery, with lots of trees. If you are going for a Rowing regatta, go early! Parking around the boat house is limited.
  • Maybe this is one of Victoria's greatest parks. Lots to do from horsback riding to dog training, to hiking, to swimming, boating, waterskiing, sailboarding, fishing and even rowing. Prob the very best thing is the 10K trail around the lake that is perfect for running! The only reason i did not give it a 5 star is the frequent algea blooms in Beaver lake that can make your children very sick or even kill your dog.
  • Nice place to swim or walk. The lakes are pretty good swimming spots in the summer, but sometimes seem a little dirty. There is a bit of a goose problem too. Despite this, it's a really good place to go with the family. Just bring a blanket to sit on.
  • Went for Ironman half triathlon (70.3). Nice park. Lake was too full of sea weed. Course had to be altered because of that. Otherwise great place for a triathlon.
