  • This "Village" was nicely set up with the paths moving from 1846 to 1949. When we were there the site was still open, but many of the buildings were closed and only a dozen had interpreters available....  more »
  • We had traveled express in the Gaspé, with kilometers into perspective, we were not disappointed. We were late in the season, the village would close two days later. That's not a lot of animations, all the houses were not inhabited, but the advantage, we had the village all to ourselves! a special note for the mill, a true jewel of technology...

  • Excellent retrospective of Acadian life since the end of the XVIII century into the 1920s. Reconstructions of habitat over time from houses or buildings dating this each of these epochs and pulled up to the Museum, more guides in costume, allow us to appreciate the (harsh) lives of these Acadian families. Two or three favorites: the school, the mill, and especially the cabaret with his keeper which is a fantastic storyteller. Recommend

  • This was a great way to see how people used to live in the 18th and 19th century. Talk to the actors to learn more. Keep in mind this place is huge and we did it in 1.5 hours rushing as much as we could. Expect to spend 3-4 hours there.
  • If you like animals and history this is a great spot to enjoy and learn with kids or with friends! Also people are very welcoming
  • I like to visit here every time we are in NB visiting my wife's family. It is a great site to learn about history, see beautiful sites, and maybe eat some delicious, oven fresh bread. Highly recommended!!
  • Nice place to view Acadian history and nice actors dressed and playing the parts!
  • Amazing experience. My kids loved to see how people lived throughout the past 2 centuries...
