  • We love TELUS Spark! It's a great place for kids to just be kids - get messy, get creative, be loud, ask questions! The staff are very kid friendly. A year pass was definitely worth it. We're still not tired of going. The park is awesome, and we really enjoyed their Stampede pancake breakfast. I didn't give it the full 5 stars because there are a few exhibits in need of repairs. Very frustrating for kids to work on something that doesn't respond the way it should, or keeps falling apart because of ill fitting pieces. However, there aren't too many of those.
  • Super fun place to take the kids... Tons of cool science stuff. But...expect to pay a good deal, about $75-100 for admission, not including the cafeteria. They charge admission for 3 year olds (13 bucks!) which I find off-putting. Plus $5 for parking. Plus, plus. Very educational and fun, but you are better off taking your kids on a hike in nature.
  • Visited Spark on a trip to Calgary from Toronto. We have an Ontario Science Centre membership, which gets us into Spark for free (reciprocal agreement between Canadian Science Centres). My kids loved the indoor and outdoor play areas, and I think we could easily spend all day here. The exhibits are new and well designed, with good use of low and high technology. The only downside is the heavy corporate presence & sponsorship that funded and made Spark possible. Better than nothing, I suppose.
  • I was not impressed Went here last May to see the Human Bodies exhibit (Which in itself was wonderful and informative, 5/5), I still had some time afterwards before the center closed, so decided to check it out. It was very lame. Hardly any of the exhibits held my attention. Little ones (5 and under) would enjoy the exhibits, but not older children, teens or adults. It USED to be awesome. They had exhibits like a bike on a 360 degree loop, a giant bed of nails exhibit, a bungee jumping activity, etc. Why they decided to do away with this and instead embrace a format that alienates a lot of their customer base is beyond me. The science center in Edmonton is vastly superior...
  • Great science center! Lots to do. Wifi! Free parking at the furthest let to the north. Science demos, cafeteria, movies (imax), kids exploring second, day camps. This place is awesome. Highly recommend a membership!
