  • I really liked Spark- there's so much for my 5 year old to touch and play with. However, I am less than pleased with the new cafeteria. The old one was more kid oriented- popcorn and french fries, etc...  more »

  • This was very well put on. The wife is a huge Trekkie and she had a blast. Wish we would have known about this sooner so we could have come here a few more times.  more »

  • I wish they would stop pretending this is a science center. It's a children's play place, and a nice one, but that's all. I have concerns about the area on the second floor where children can dismantle circuits. Electronics made before 2006 all have lead in the solder. Some electronics made after 2006 also still have lead in the solder, but lead is somewhat less common. Children dismantle electronics from before 2006, and electronics of unknown age every day at Spark. I have brought my concerns about children being exposed to lead to Spark staff, but nothing changed. When I was there two days ago, there was a partially dismantled cassette tape recorder on the bench.
  • Lots of space, but not a lot of unique activities. Adults Only Night is great since they bring in a wide variety of collaborators to help keep guests interested. Overall, lots of interactive stations, but I feel like a lot of them are lacking the science that makes you say "wow" and keep you coming back.
  • Could't go wrong with a Star Trek event. Nice demonstrations of the various science fields that kids could learn from and enjoy. The food court was clean and had something for everyone.
  • Went to the the Start Fleet Academy Experience. Not when the price you pay for admission. It was interesting. Interactive displays were hot or Miss if they work. Very disappointed.
  • Went to the Star Trek event. Was entertaining and something to do on a rainy day. Was expensive and the rest of the exhibits where for children. So for young adults I wouldn't recommend going without some children. The main exhibit though was much more age appropriate for the group I went with.
