Skyline Luge Calgary, Calgary
(4.7/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Satisfy your need for speed at Skyline Luge Calgary, featuring an 1,800 m (6,000 ft) purpose-built track with over 50 twists and turns. Although the experience involves hurtling downhill, you needn't be concerned with safety--keep both hands on the steering wheel and you'll remain in control for the entire journey. The steering and braking system controls speed and direction, which you can learn how to adjust during a quick introductory lesson. Consider riding down at least a few times--the first time to master the mechanics and the track, and after that to soak in those views and feel the wind in your hair (or helmet). Use our Calgary holiday planner to visit Skyline Luge Calgary on your trip to Calgary, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

  • Travelling from Stampede with plans to get to Banff, this was planned and something we really had to fit in. Previously done in NZ AND Mum said nah, I'll let the kids enjoy but they begged me to do it...  more »

  • Great view of Calgary on ride up the hill! Easy to steer and able to control speed, so felt quite safe and had lots of fun. If it is a cool day, be sure to wear gloves or mitts and layer up!

  • The luge is awesome! We visited in September with 4 family members. I recommend you buy at least 3 rides each because less than that limits your fun. It is a great time!
  • I was never able to ride! Every time my family and I attempted to Luge, the place was either shut down or closed due to lighting. Many times it wasn't even raining. Instead of the management properly advise customers of what was happening, they though I was better to play soccer between workers meanwhile customers waited and watched... two hours later we were told it was a no go! This same scenario happen at least three times before we left the province extremely unhappy at the service and the lack of communication.
  • Just awesome. Please dont miss the rides. All are sooooo exiting and fantastic.
  • Fantastic for a family day out, the kids like it. Also it is cheaper and longer than the one in Singapore!
  • Awesome fun!! Its basically a go kart that runs on gravity. The incline at the ski hill allows great speed. Prices is a bit steep. Wished they had coupons.
