  • Nice place to come and escape for a few hours while looking at the flora. There is also a nice restaurant there for lunch. Don't be too late though as the restaurant closes mid afternoon.
  • Whenever you need a break from the hectic world of downtown, head to the Reader Rock Garden. You may have driven past it a gazillion times, as it is at the intersection of Macleod Trail and 25 Avenue ...  more »
  • We accidentally mistook Reader for another garden we were looking for, but a pleasant mistake. The cafe was not open, but we pretty much had the gardens to ourselves to wlk around and take in the beau...  more »

  • This is locared at the heart of the city, just few blocks away from downtown. The view of Calgary tower and downtown buildings is simply super. The garden is very peaceful, wide variety of plants, flowering and non flowering, well maintained and the gardening staff were very cool and polite. This place with all flowering plants and big trunk trees and wild birds, squirrel, it's colorful and amazing spot to visit and fantastic spot to nature photographers. I don't know how it would be on weekends though, if you visit on weekdays, it's very quite and no much people and its best time to visit is weekday. 😊
  • One of the city's hidden gems. I've lived 200m from this place for more than ten years, and had no idea it was here.
  • A wonderful location for an outdoor wedding, where our string ensembles (solo violin or cello, violin and cello duo, trio and string quartet) often perform here during the summer months. Recommended.
  • 3 for lunch.. Reservations for 11:00 am. Dishes were somewhat pricey for the amount served. Dessert was twice the size of the lunch portions. Not sure if that is good or bad? The Hostess actually asked us to leave since there were people waiting for a table, which we thought extremely rude. This lunch had been a greatly anticipated re-union of co-workers. Our time together had been cut short by choosing this restaurant to meet at.
