  • I go to the Grey Eagle for their buffet. This time it was for the Chinese New Year Special, so the buffet was only $18.88 as opposed to its usual $26 something. I have to say I find anything over $20 to be a bit pricey simply because I personally don't eat seafood, so it isn't a good deal for me, but it might be reasonable for others who can take advantage of the crab and shrimp, etc. But since it was under $20 this time, I thought it was a great deal because I enjoyed the sushi rolls and salads. The person in charge of making sushi was very courteous and patient and explained the different varieties. Service from the servers were also great...our server was friendly and quick to take our plates, refill out drinks, etc. The atmosphere was fun but not too busy...at least when we were there. We went as soon as it opened, so the line up wasn't as bad, but the part where they process our pay at the beginning before we get seated does often take a long time, and this time it was the same. The people behind us somehow ended up paying and getting seated before we did because they had confusion a out the seating arrangements with the tables and the machines being used to pay. But the food was delicious and everything was clean. The location is great for us because we live close by. Honestly, if the buffets were cheaper, we would go way more often.
  • We went to the casino buffet and it was absolutely amazing. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. The sides we wonderful. The only thing that could have been better were the desserts. But I was too full to try any. The event center has great seating and is a great place for a concert or comedy show
  • Went to a concert there. DO not try to eat there prior to an event. Then the smoking section of the casino is right at the entrance to the concert venue of you to in through the casino as we did OR you can wait acme they do have alternate doors. The smoke was horrible. Servers did their best to accommodate the 1000's of people but it was far too busy. Access sucks to get in and out. Take this with a grain of salt, go check it out on your own. As for me, won't be back just due to the amount of smoke.
  • Not having been back to Grey Eagle Casino for a while I figured it was time to reacquaint myself and sadly I walked away disappointed. It's seafood night ($38.99/person) so I figured the seafood would be plentiful and delicious! The latter wasn't true with the majority of the seafood being served being overcooked and quite salty. For example, the chilled crab legs and heated lobster claws were cooked to the point that using the shell cracker proved ineffective as the shells were too soft. Soft shell aside, it was difficult to get the meat out of the shells and they lacked flavor. It was mainly... just... salty. On the plus side, the crab claws were good and cooked well and the scallops on the half shell were also good. All the dishes were topped up regularly so you don't have to worry about not getting any when you see someone walk by with a very healthy portion of a single item on their plate. Dessert was good and as I mentioned earlier the service was great! Attentive, friendly, helpful Would I be back? Probably not for seafood night... but I remember Asian Wednesdays ($32.99/person, or whichever night they have sushi which I thought was seafood night) was good when I went a couple years ago. Prime rib buffet ($24.99/person) is another night I'm interested in trying as well
  • A great prime rib buffet on Friday and Saturday. Go between 5 and 6 to avoid lines. I attended a comedy show in the event centre. Great space but if you buy “floor” seats be warned that your seat is a typical convention/banquet seat and they are hooked together in a row. So your space is very narrow with no possibility of wiggling more room for yourself. If you’re there for a concert it wouldn’t be so bad since you would probably be standing and dancing some of the time. After 40 minutes my butt was numb and I squirmed around trying to get more comfortable. If you intend to sit for a whole show I would suggest getting a seat on the risers further back — it will still be a great view, the seats look more padded (like a movie theatre seat), more spaced out and with arm rests so you are not sitting in some stranger’s lap.
