Naturally abundant, the park is home to a vast array of animals, including deer, owls, coyotes, and beavers. • We had been there once before in a few summers ago. We took a short walk this autumn and enjoyed the changing colors in the park.
  • This park spans over 13 square kilometres and is the 2nd largest urban park in Canada! It is beautiful and the scenery varies depending on where you are in the park. There is a lot to do -- walking an...  read more »

  • So nice having such a great park so close. Not as good as the mountains of course but much closer. I really enjoy the singletrack trails they added a few years ago. They range in difficulty from easy to advanced. Also there are ample paved and shale trails to enjoy. As of this past spring I believe they have now fully recovered from the 2013 flood which is great.
  • Great inner city park. Lots of trails for walking, cycling, etc. Fun for all ages, well maintained and a good place for an afternoon of walking or a picnic. There are picnic areas as well as a few restaurants. The art walk area by the Ranch restaurant is well worth checking out too. This is a large park, with many access points, so you could go 3 or 4 times to different areas and never walk the same trail twice.
  • Some of the best inner-city Park space in the world. So many different things to see from one end to the other. Ravens Rocks is one of my favorites. All kinds of bike trails from paved to gravel to single track for Cross country. Worth a trip because you'll have to make.more than one. Gem of South Calgary.
  • Lots of walking trails through the trees and over creeks. Sikome Lake is a wonderful place to enjoy during the got summer days with its treated clean water and sand beaches. They're even working on a MTB skills Park and dirt jumps.
  • Great green space within the city, with wide open spaces for your choice of outdoor activities year round. Good parking and miles of excellent trails to explore. Alberta Provincial Parks provides a variety of programs throughout the year as well.
