The park is also a popular destination for couples having wedding pictures taken. The park adjoins the Queens Park Cemetery on the east side by the baseball diamond and tennis courts near Highland Park. There is cross country skiing both in the park and at the golf course during the winter. Any time of the year the park can be used for geocache searches.Adjacent to the park is the Confederation Golf Course In winter the golf course is open for cross country skiing and the park hosts the Lions Club Christmas Light Display in December and January. The park, anchored by the Centennial Golf course to the west and Queen Park Cemetery to the east, along with other nearby open areas affords neighborhoods such as Rosemont and Cambrian Heights large amounts of open space, giveng the area an upscale urban flavor.HistoryIn the mid-1960s, efforts to conserve the North Hill Coulee, a brook which remained undeveloped because of uneven terrain, was organized in the form of the Centennial Ravine Park Society. In 1967, the park opened to celebrate the centennial of the Canadian Confederation. The society was very active in the neighborhoods of Northwest Calgary, and raised funds to create the park space.

  • This park was open in 1967 to commemorate Canada's 100 birthday. I noticed that there is a time capsule and a sign states that it will be opened in 2017! Interesting.  more »
  • Nice lights display for free in winter time and a golf course in summer time. A lush and well kept garden in the city.  more »

  • Well kept park that is great for walks or biking. There are also many BBQ grills and benches all over the park for get togethers. Went there looking for some soccer posts, did not find any but plenty of open space for the kids to enjoy.
  • Its a good place to go for a walk or bike ride and also good for snowboarding in the winter. Not one of the very big parks
  • This is one of the most beautiful park in the city. Meticulous taken care of. Little boutique park.
  • Well kept park, but mostly designed for walks or biking. Not many picnic benches around. It has a small playground for kids. Had a good time.
  • Pretty park. Good for a walk or a bike ride. Plenty of water fountains along pathway. Small park for the kids. Great tobogan hills in the winter.
