Take in the epic sprawl of the city from the lofty vantage point of Calgary Tower, a 191 m (626 ft) spire with a viewing platform perched on top. Enjoy fine dining in the tower’s admittedly pricey revolving restaurant, or head straight for the observation deck to step on the glass floor and enjoy sweeping views of the city. Consider getting up to the top on a clear afternoon to witness a stunning sunset. • An absolute must in good weather! The panorama is magnificent and there are explanations in various languages by means of audio cassettes. Thrill through glass floor on the road is guaranteed

  • We went up to the tower on a recent visit to Calgary, along with my 94-year-old father. It is handicapped accessible and worth the price of admission. the self-guided tour provided interesting histori...  read more »
  • The tower is located near the main downtown shopping area and it was a great opportunity to see the Rocky Mountains (where we had just been) and the road ahead to Edmonton, our next destination, as we...  read more »
  • It's a nice tower and has some great views, but it's one of those things that you see once and it's boring to go again. The upgrades they did recently really help to turn this into a more educational experience while still being fun for the kids. The restaurant is great, the food is good and the 360 degrees view is a huge bonus. If you're visiting Calgary, definitely come check it out.
  • This is one of the highlights of my Calgary trip and is a must-do for cityscape fanatics like me. I timed my visit on a sunny day and was not disappointed. I availed of the complimentary multimedia guide, which has neat details about the places of interest that can be viewed from the observatory. From the observatory, one can see the downtown core with its impressive skyscrapers and quaint neighborhoods, the two rivers that snake through the city, parts of the Winter Olympic Park, and even the mighty snow-capped peaks of the Rocky Mountains. The observatory closed at 9:00 pm when I visited. As it was still bright outside, I missed out on sunset and night photos, which would have made the whole viewing totally worth it.
  • Great place to visit. Unique experience to stand on a clear glass on top of the tower. Great view . Preety expensive though
  • Calgary is so dry, that I got dryness. But still, if you like to see the peek of the rocky mountains of alberta, then you'll probably won't mind the tower. Although, I'd go to banff instead.
  • As of August of 2016 it is $18 per adult to go up into the tower. It's a great experience but in my opinion is a bit overpriced just to ride an elevator. There is a rotating restaurant below the viewing deck. The gift shop upstairs has some fun trinkets, as well as the one below.
