Calgary Tower, Calgary

3.7
Take in the epic sprawl of the city from the lofty vantage point of Calgary Tower, a 191 m (626 ft) spire with a viewing platform perched on top. Enjoy fine dining in the tower’s admittedly pricey revolving restaurant, or head straight for the observation deck to step on the glass floor and enjoy sweeping views of the city. Consider getting up to the top on a clear afternoon to witness a stunning sunset. Make Calgary Tower a part of your Calgary vacation plans using our Calgary trip planner.

  • It's like seeing the Empire State building in New York. Gets the evening looked beautiful hour-by-hour changes in the city and the lights glowed.

  • Right in downtown Calgary, stands the 191m high Calgary Tower and offers a 360 ° panoramic view of the city. From the panoramic platform with glass floor, you can enjoy a look down. A great experience which can be a little dodgy one.

  • When I was in Calgary for the business trip, I was told to be at the Calgary Tower and it was worthy because you can see the mighty Rockies from there  more »

  • Superb views amazing photos. Hope they can enlarge this incredible place and the beautiful city of Calgary. Such an incredible place that can go to the most amazing smart city in North America. It captured my imagination the minute I saw it. Love it
  • Here from L.A. for a week. Spent an hour in the observation tower - well worth it for us. Sunday had delicious prime rib dinner at tower. For USians with strong US dollar, cocktails and big prime rib dinner with view an excellent value(elevator to observation $18.00 is free). Waiter (from Hungary) was super friendly and helpful. YMMV.
  • Admission is $18 for an adult. Has a o.k gift store on main floor, and one in the tower it's self. Little store is outrageously priced so bring your own water. Very little to read on the observation deck, go for the audio tour. Great views from the observation deck.
  • This review is for the Calgary Tower experience and not Sky 360, the revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. Adult admission is $18 CAD. It is nice to come during the evening or near to closing time as there aren't many people. There is only a small portion of the tower which you can actually look down at the view below. You would probably only spend about 15 minutes up there unless you're listening to the audio guide. If you have never been in a tower before with the ability to view down, this might be worth it. Otherwise, I would probably save my money and pass on it.
  • A great place to go to enjoy the scenery but recently I have found the prices for the restaurant a bit to high which has been putting me off from going there.

Where to stay in Calgary

South of the river is where most of the action happens in Calgary, and that's where you'll find the best selection of places to stay. Downtown, the central neighborhood located on the river's southern bank offers the widest range of choices, with access to several of the city's major metro stations a big plus. For arts, nightlife, and quality of living, go to The Beltine, known for its cafes, restaurants, arts, and entertainment. If you're just visiting the city briefly but want access to onward transport links, choose accommodations located close to the city's international airport.
