We just came from the Farm! Great food in general, however do not eat pizza, just disgusting! Play area outstanding, plus magic show and wagon rides! Huge sand box, filled with all kind of toys and sl... read more »
It's ok. really. City kids cooped up indoors watching TV, playing video games, OR outdoors in the few months that you can really enjoy it, fresh air, play, experience nature. Pick your battles. its no... read more »
The staff was friendly, the experience was inviting and for a commercialized farm that runs under downey's farm, it's always a great experience, actually. Prices are slightly higher than other "pick your own fruit" farms but attractions, shopping and closeness succeeds my needs. My only issue is the limited amount of the limited parking space that's shared between berryview & downey's farm.
This place has become an absolute money grab. I remember just a few years ago when our kids were younger we would come here a few times per month. It would cost about $3 to go in and hangout in the play area. Well be prepared to pay $9 per person...that's about $40 per family of 4 to play in a sand pit. Seriously, this is just greadness. You must pay of everyone above 2yrs old...so you adults be prepared to enjoy that sand pit. If your kids want to see some animals and you parents need to get some shopping done...check out the Apple Factory...seeing the animal wouldn't cost you a dime and the products are way better. In my humble opinion this place has become a gready money grab. So sad because we really used to love coming here...not any more.
Downey's Farm beautiful playground for the kids . Children can learn and explore farmers life.
Very friendly staff. Animals had shelter available on the very hot day we went. Lots of raspberries to pick, good winery and atmosphere. Staff was nice and accommodating. Looking forward to going again!
We only went for apple picking and checked out the entrance area of Downey's farm. The apples are great. However I really dislike the way the ponies are treated at the pone ride. They are walking circled all day long. To animal, that is really a punishment. It is probably also dizzy to do so. I'm sure this huge farm can find a different area and create a path to let them walk freely with supervisor
