  • This place is a MUST GO for any local or traveller to Vancouver. it's a quiet little lake that overlooks metropolis. You can rent boats and Kayaks there and just explore the lake at your own leisure. The trails there are for any casual walker that wants to see great sights in any season of the year. It's one of my favorite places to visit.
  • Burnaby Village Museum is a great little gem of a place to visit, especially at this time of year (Christmas), where you can walk around visiting the various historic buildings (old schoolhouse, farm homes, blacksmith shop and historic stores) that have staff and volunteers in period costume. Great place to take kids. It also has wonderful old historic Carousel (complete with Wurlitzer organ) to take a ride on. Oh and also the entrance price is great too. Its free :)
  • Nice place if you want to escape from the city life and Deer lake park located inside the heart of Burnaby city so it’s not far from your home if you located in Burnaby. I like the pathway that shown in my photos the pathway protect the nature and keep you clean. Its not a big park but the lake view is really nice and you can set down and meditate.
  • Beautiful Lake, with a few of art and museum at the corner. It takes about 50 minutes to walk round around the park. Few free parking. And couple of restaurants a coffee shops and one bar, not too far from the park. Highly recommend it for quite, relaxing and scenery walk, seat around for reading our meditation, or canoeing in the summer
  • Nice park anytime of year. Good trail with some boardwalks through the marshes and along the lake side. About ~5k to do the loop around lake from royal oak parking area. Beach area on East shore of lake with playground and a dock.
