Central Park, Burnaby
(4.5/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
Escape the urban bustle at Central Park, an activity-filled green space covering an area of 90 hectares (222 acres). One of the biggest draws here (literally) are the immense trees dotted all over the park, include Douglas firs, cedars, poplars, western hemlocks, and maple groves. Stretch your legs at one of the many onsite sporting facilities; bring your rackets for a game or two of tennis; or don your suit for a swim in the outdoor public pool. • Great park with lots of paved paths. Many people come here to run or walk. Easy on strollers and kids and elderly people. Lots of parking. Seems like a great escape from the bustling streets of Burnaby. Highly recommend visiting this park.
  • Central Park is an awesome park with great walking paths, scenery and wildlife. It makes for a great place to have a family BBQ, or just a wander through the park. At the south end you might get a glimpse of some of the remote controlled model boats on the weekend. All in all a very well rounded park
  • Wonderful space for picnic or bbq, plenty of greens and shades, the park is hugh. Great for jogs or bicycle. Very kid friendly.
  • Great spot in the middle of the city. Heavily forested with great trails and two small ponds, perfect for a walk or a run.
  • You can walk around in the forest part or hang out in the sun in the BBQ and playground part. There's also a pond with a path going around it. Usually the BBQ area is busy but you can find quiet areas in the rest of the park.
