  • I love this beach because you can always find some natural shade here, since it faces north. There is a section with sand, but it is mostly rocky, which can come handy in the colder months because ski...  more »

  • Great place for a stroll around the water. In the summer it's an ideal location for a barbeque, but usually gets very crowded, so arrive early to get a good spot. There is also an off leash area for dogs, so you can let your flurry friend run around. Your can usually spot herons here, and on occasion bald eagles too.
  • Beautiful and quiet. Lots of picnic benches and little spots for fishing. I recommend bring a canoe orkayak if you have one and a crabbing net to drop off shore, my father has been taking me there to go crabbing since I was a little kid. The only major downfall is it's a no dog park, which usually puts me and my husband off as we like to take the pup with us on such outings.
  • I love this place! It loses one star for not having enough parking. But it's beautiful and serene, with incredibly clear waters. Great for watersports! The area also has a lot of history as a mill town. There is also a trail and picnic tables for those not interested in swimming and kayaking!
  • Could be very busy on weekends during summer. Lovely place, nice view, but if you want to find parking spot you either have to come very early or just before the closing. I don't get it why this park closes so early in the summer.
  • Amazing park. I was so surprised at this hidden gem tucked away in our backyard. It had so much green space, picnicking areas and general walking areas. There is also so much water access and the views are amazing. It is great to get away here and enjoy the insights into nature that it offers. On top of that, there is significant historical significance related to this park which is interesting to piece together once you get there. A lot of open space, a lot of opportunities to explore and enjoy the nature this park offers. Would be great for events and for dates :)
