  • This park is a real asset for the people of Burlington. Of course it is busier in the summer, especially on the weekend when it is crowded with families. But I like it equally, perhaps more, in the wi...  more »
  • It's a beautiful place just to relax and enjoy nature, but that's pretty much it. I personally like to go during the last week of April because that's when all the cherry blossoms are pink, it's beaut...  more »

  • This is the focal point of the Downtown Burlington Community and the Burlington Communities in general. This park, located on the shores of Lake Ontario, is a wonderful excursion if you wanted to see the diversity of the people who live in Burlington. Our elderly citizens enjoy the ability to easily access handicap friendly walking and outing opportunities. In fact the proximity to Joseph Brant Hospital makes the park the ideal setting for families to visit their loved ones in a non-hospital setting. Cyclists, Walkers, Joggers, and recreational athletes of all ages, skills and interests can be seen using the well manicured lawns and pathways for their activities. The park has a reflection pool that in winter becomes a community skating rink. Historians can reflect at the Naval Ship Memorial and relax on benches throughout the park that are dedicated to the memory of departed citizens. The park caters to dog owners in the fact that the public water fountains include a fresh water sink for Fido to quench themselves on hot summer walks. The park is the center of festivals such as the annual Sound of Music Festival and the Ribfest but also a well visited seasonal Christmas Lighting Display during the holidays. In short, this park is where Burlington comes out to play. Leave the car at home - parking is at a premium - and come and see Canadians at play.
  • Beautiful park, right by the water. Swing your feet over the rocks and feel the sunshine on your skin. I came on a lovely summer day with perfectly warm weather for the Sound of Music festival. Folks were friendly and the park was well-organized. Close to a number of local shops and restaurants. Paints very much a picturesque small-town feel.
  • Beautiful park right on Burlington's Lakeshore. Great for an evening stroll. Water pad for kids open during the warmer months. Very picturesque and close to dinning. Only paid parking available.
  • Walks, Pokemon Go (tons of Pokemon stops) or bench sitting on the pier is amazing here in the afternoons! There is an amazing view and great places to eat out right by here. This is one of the best paths for roller blades, walks or bike rides. I suggest to come anytime before 12am the sprinklers randomly turn on and soak you after 12am.
  • Beautiful park on the water. Great walking path, park, restaurants. Right downtown.
