  • Very interesting presentations, pictures and tour of this mine by people who worked there, exhibits including photos.  more »
  • It was a good time where the ore was almost flush on the Hill. A clever device allowed to get it back, put it back together and separated from the rock. This mine is no longer profitable, but it remains a great testimony of the mining activity in the country. Very clear presentation, visit to cart driven by a delightful guide, everything comes together for good memories.

  • Interesting visit and talk about how this mine was operated ... worth a visit on the way to Squamish  more »
  • The museum is best for children. You can search for gold and go on the tour. The tour is very short. You board the train and at the second stop you leave the train. The demo of the tools was great. I have never seen these tools live and in operation. It is a little bit to expensive for the short tour. But very good for children.
  • I have always wondered why it costs so much ($102 for a family of 4)... Now I understand why. The place has an absolutely fascinating history behind it, and our guide gave us an informative tour. Our two kids had a blast panning for tiny "gold" nuggets, and as a history nerd I enjoyed learning about the lives of people who worked there in the decades past. The underground tour on a mine train was very cool.
  • Short sweet tour of the Britannia copper mines! The tour is very educational and our guide was super nice. The whole complex is a hidden gem of learning and activities for the whole family and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. You can pan for gold for "FREE" in the complex. I have done this before here in the US and have typically paid around $20 to waste my time. This was a great experience and we collected quite a bit
  • Excellent experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. So interesting! We have a deeper appreciation of the miners and the work they did and sacrifices they made. Thank you so much!
  • I wanted to like Britannia Mine but for value for money it's just not worth your time or money. We paid $115 for our family after tax, the tour was mildly interesting but wasn't worth the cost of admission. We planned to eat at the cafe there after the tour as well but it was more of a gas station store with crappy selection. We ended up driving to Squamish for lunch instead. All in all if the cost of admission was half of what they charge it would be worth it... at the going rate I'd look elsewhere for your family fun.
