  • Spend the weekend camping had a great time lots of trails to walk, run or bike. We went to apple fest lots of vendors really good time .
  • The sand at the beach was quite nice and the water stays shallow for quite a long way out, which is good for small kids. There were a lot of seagulls and other birds which results in a lot of bird poo on the beach. A section of the beach was not able to be used due to the presence of an endangered bird. That area of the beach had tons of seagulls so nobody would want to set up there anyways. There was a small section of the beach with 3 dead birds washes up on shore. The bathroom on beach one is very old and smelly. The toilets are waterless so it smells like a large porta potty. Overall a decent beach.
  • Two stars. My group and I were sitting around the campfire minding our own business with a guitar, and a ranger came and threatened to fine us if we didn't stop right away. We stopped, however the rangers came to our campsite about every 30-40 minutes to see that our guitar was away, even though we understood fully well her request and we obviously did not want a fine. I felt uncomfortable with the ranger coming to bother us periodically and I didn't enjoy my stay due to that.
  • I've gone here since I was kid. Love it. There is lots to do. The bike paths are awesome. The trails are okay. The boardwalk is great, I walk it atleast twice a year. To an outsider it's just a basic campground. You need bug spray year round. The raccoons are relentless and will come up to you no matter what. The beaches are okay. Depending on where you go, you will come across different things.
  • Have always loved this beautiful and historic provincial park! There are so many areas one can explore or relax. History buffs will also love the interpretive buildings and Information plaques found throughout the park.
  • I took my family here to go to the beach to have a fun time, first thing is the website says 11.25$ for a day pass. I was charged 14.50, then we get to the only beach thats open and when we finally get to the actual beach after parking, there is debris all over the beach. we find a picnic table and set everything up only to then notice that there are dead bird carcasses. We then continue to walk down the beach only to find more decomposing bird carcasses. Next we start packing up to leave and I stepped on a pen that was ball point up barely sticking out of the sand. I do not recommend this beach as it was once if not the most horrible beaches that i have every gone to and taken my family to, I think the good reviews are written by the staff, as i could not see how anyone would think a beach in this poor of an upkeep condition is acceptable for people to go to or even make people pay.
