  • I love going for walks here. It's like a secret world in the midst of the city. Love spending time in nature, taking me away from the busyness of life and work to enjoy the beautiful scenery that was created. Wonderful place to walk, hike and ever just explore. I saw dog walkers, and bikers all sharing the same trails. Awesome experience!!
  • - Nice trails but it honestly wouldn't take super long to finish. - Trails could use more clear markers; it's super easy to end up under the tree top trekkers. - Not too busy even when I went in late summer. - Bathrooms are adequately maintained. - Lots of family/friends gathering spaces. - Charge is $6 per adult; so keep that in mind if you're a big group; unlike national parks that charge per car. If you plan to go to a lot maybe consider the annual passes. - The lake is super beautiful! Saw some people fishing. This is also a Ontario "Learn to Fish" program site, where anyone can sign up to well, learn to fish.
  • Nice place for picnics and outdoor gatherings but not perfect. We had a lot that included a covered seating area but it was surrounded by what looked like covered wells and it was quite hazardous. It would have been nice to know that information beforehand as we had many toddlers and had to make sure they did not go into that area. However the place is easy to find, nice and quiet, quite clean, spacious and has a cute little pool and splash pad for the kids. The splash pad requires a separate ticket but neither the entrance or the splash pad are expensive at all so it is worth it for the amenities you are getting. It is a great place for a picnic or day out with the family, especially with young children. There is plenty of space to run around and a nice pond for taking a walk or doing paddle boats. We did not try the zip line activity but it looks like a lot of fun. The BBQ grills were a disgusting mess. We had brought our own anyway but for anyone else I would not recommend using the grills on the site. Most areas do not include or have access to a covered area, like most parks so if you are going to be there for a while be sure to come prepared with a dining tent or covered area, not only for rain but to stay out of the heat and sun as well as the lots typically are quite clear of trees.
  • My favourite place to be. So relaxing I just want to pitch a tent and move in. Beautiful pond with a view of a mysterious mansion off in the far distance.
  • Beautiful area. Really enjoyed the setting in the city.
