  • Beautiful red sands. Lots of life on the shore: hermit crabs and small fish. Very shallow water near the shore where you can walk out for ages just ankle or knee deep ( a bit to cold for a swim in early July). Good washroom/shower facilities too.
  • Perfect place to see the erosion of PEI. You definitely understand the crumbling substance and the rich iron oxide dirt in which this Canadian treasure is built on. Such a unique experience! Ruby sands, emerald grass and sapphire skies are in an abundance. This is how I always imagined PEI to be.
  • Great quiet park to visit while in PEI. *Watch your kids, there's some cliffs at the edge of the playground.
  • Beautiful beach. I love the feeling of the argyle on your feet. The beach isn't busy like other PEI beaches.
  • Huge green space (kick a ball, throw a frisbee) with a little viewing area above the shores. Steps leading down to the water get a little wet at high tide, but no problem at low tide. Beautiful deep red hues all around.
