  • Arrive at Bonaventure and see all these french flags (struck a Golden Star) floating in front of every house, is a unique and amazing view. Also we decided to understand why by visiting the Acadian Museum of the city. The home is made by a very nice man, who will give us a presentation very interesting and very detailed history of the Acadians since their introduction in this part of Canada to the present day. The Acadians have no country but they have a flag since the middle of the 19th century, the french revolutionary flag and the gold star represents the Virgin Mary (August 15 is the day chosen for the national day of the Acadians). It was a great time spent in this small museum not to be missed if you go in the Gaspé.
