  • Just spent 3 nights camping here and loved it. The campsite is well maintained, clean, and good facilities. The water is drinkable, the bathrooms are standard outhouses, stocked daily with TP. The sites are large, include a fire pit, well treed, and ample sun light. We fit our tent trailer in there with ease and had lots of room to spread out. There are a couple hikes in the area that are decent, the Goat's Lookout is a bit of an uphill climb but offers nice views. The Lakeshore hike is right along the lake and gives you access to a couple of beaches along the way. The lake was very refreshing, warm and very swimmable. It was about 30 degrees Celsius when we were there, so swimming was needed to cool down. Like other reviewers have said, bring your own kayak or canoe, it's well worth it to go for a morning ride. Lots of SUP as well. There are no shower facilities here, we brought a solar bag shower to help with that. The beach is nice, sandy and decent size. Also, a big dog area that allows off leash. The road getting to the campground isn't that bad, several small city type cars were up there. It's passable without issue. Highly recommend this campsite, off the beaten path and well worth it.
  • A bit out of the way, but very pretty and peaceful.
  • Breathtaking Views - Quiet and Safe
  • Now I Am Going Back Away's Great Lake To Go To 4 x 4 ing Hiking & Much More .. Not Much I Don't Like About Camping B.C. If You Can No Provincial Parks To Go There's .Always Other Sites To Get To A Little Bit Remote But Awesome..
  • My wife and I spent July long weekend up at Birkenhead Lake. What a beautiful place. It sure has changed allot since the last time I was there. That was in 1885 in December!
