  • Big white is a lot of fun whether you're brand new to skiing or snowboarding or a longtime rider, or even if you don't like skiing at all but you do like drinking hot chocolate in chalets. The snow is usually very good, and the easier runs are groomed and there's a lot of variety. If you want more of a challenge, the glades at Gem Lake & Easter chutes at Black Forest (can be very steep) are almost always coveted in soft, untouched powder. Definitely a great way to spend a winter day or weekend! (The hiking in the summer is definitely good too, although depending on route you might have to deal with some horseflies so pack accordingly)
  • A great ski resort overall. Can be hard to get to from the lower mainland due to highways closures and weather conditions but once you get there it's fabulous even on a less perfect day. They have lots of blue and green runs for beginners and plenty of choices for advanced skiers or snowboarders as well. Lots of great tree skiing!
  • Big white is a fun and exciting time for all ages. Each run is unique and well kept. I love to come up here with either friends or family and we always have a good time. Although i havnt been to any other ski resort, this one is by far an amazing hill to start off with. If you are ever bored, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. There are so many activities: sledding, horse pulling carts, tubing, dancing, eating, and having fun. You wont be disappointed!
  • Awesome amount of powder most days and lots to explore. Village has pretty much anything you could need and actually isn't too inflated for being on a resort. Snowpine estates is a bit of a hike and buses aren't very frequent. Drive up can be slippery so definitely take your time. Overall, one of my favorite ski resorts for sure. Definitely prefer over the Albertan hills!
  • Fantastic mountainscape and nature provided lots of snow. Nature did her job but Big White as an entity continues to disappoint in their petty chintzy ways. " Sorry we are not allowed to give you a paper cup for water" This after spending $172. On passes and $29. on lunch that day! So you can't sit down with lunch and a cup of water. Have to use small cone style throw away cup standing at counter. They miss so many small items that make it a world class resort. They simply ride on nature's coattails. This is not a one off and I don't recommend it as a place to stay or eat ~ only ski or board ~ top notch there.
