  • Stopped at Peninsula Ridge on the way home from Niagara Falls to sample some good Ontario reds and whites. A flight of 3 costs $5, and if wine is purchased, the $5 is forgiven. Good wines, very good c...  read more »
  • We had brunch at this magnificent restaurant last Sunday! The house and grounds are just beautiful, the view from the patio was post card picture perfect and the food was amazing! Every member of the staff was polite, knowledgeable and interaction with them was pleasant! Job well done! Whenever we return to this area we will be sure to enjoy this restaurant again! Thank you!
  • We enjoyed a lovely Mothers Day brunch with fantastic service, elegant dining room, and the view, exceptional ! We each chose something different from the menu, and we could not decide who's meal was best. So delicious and such great hospitality. Thank you to your terrific staff for a wonderful time! • Peninsula Ridge has been a favourite Canadian winery of mine since I first tried their 2004 Cabernet. My girlfriend and I recently visited the vineyard and tried samples of the recent offerings and a fantastic meal at the restaurant and loved it. Wouldn't decide whether the salmon or the burger was better but the wine was definitely 5-star. Highest recommendations. :)
  • My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 12:30PM Sunday June 28, 2015 for brunch. As we entered we where greeted by the hostess present. She ask if we had reservation which we did not have so she told us that they where all book up and no table available right now. But she said there would be one available at 1:00 PM so we decided to book a table for that time slot. The hostess encourage us to visit there on site store in the mean time while we where waiting which we decided against, it was lunch that was on our mind and not shopping but she kept pushing to see the store but we decide to spend the time of site and come back for our lunch. We arrive at our appointed time and where seated by a friendly server at a table for two, what I did notice though that many of the table that had been unoccupied when we first arrive where still empty which caused me to wonder whether this whole thing of having no seating at the beginning was just a ploy to get us to go to there store and spend a ton of money there. We received the menu and the server explained to us the daily special with choice of 2 types of soup and main course. We choose the lobster bisque and the steak for main. My wife had a glass of Pinot Noir reserve which was excellent and I had the house beer. The soup arrived soon but was luke warm, I prefer my soup hot but that might be just a matter of preference, in regards to taste it was bland and I don’t know where the lobster came in but I could not taste it. To put a bit of zest in this soup I looked for salt and pepper which none of the tables had so had to ask the waitress and she brought a small Pepper mill that did not produce much even after turning and turning and the salt shaker was even smaller but at least it did work. There came no bread with the soup so had to ask for it which was brought in a basket 4 small slices with a bit of butter that look lost in the dish it was served. The steaks arrived with two eggs on top and asparagus (3) and a few pieces of zucchini and some soggy potatoes totally without flavor. The steak was good and grilled as we had ordered with a good flavor. To finish of this meal we ordered coffee which had little flavor which was very thinly brewed, maybe we are just to spoiled by the robust flavor of Tim Hortons coffee but at the priced charged I expected better. My wife and I ordered two desserts Profiterole au Chocolate and Choc Pot Du Crème which where mostly with little flavor the éclair had no Boston cream in it and was the size of my little finger and really being used to some European tortes totally unacceptable for the prices charged. Finally our bill arrived which came to $ 122.94 and this was for brunch for two people with one glass of wine and beer each. Would I recommend this establishment a sincere No. Wolfgang Paul and Sylvia P.
