  • Not many people but very very beautiful. Great for hiking. There are both short and long trail. Can also see small animals. It is a must do if you have time.  more »
  • Planning a 3-day stop at Banff, I doubt whether it is necessary to include in the program of visiting Sunshine Meadows. Still included and, fortunately, then never regretted this decision! First, we had no luck. Come to Sunshine Village half an hour before the first bus, but the downpour began, and we had to come back in Banff. Perezhdali couple of hours in the room and made a second attempt, this time successful. Bus rides uphill minutes 10 and overcomes the most difficult part of the climb (approx. 500 m). On only on foot, but there is no longer such a steep rise. Before the first attractions-Rock Isle Lake-approximately 2 km course. This is a small lake with an enchanting island in the Middle has absolutely photogenic appearance. Yes it actually printed on millions of Canadian cards. Pofotografirovav or pofotografirovavshis', you can continue the path in two ways-to other lakes or on the observation deck of the Standish Point. To the Lakes to go a little further, to the viewing-closer, but with the rise of the Hill. Even at home, I chose the Standish, so I can't compare the two. But observation proved to be a phenomenal spot! It overlooks all of Lake Ridge on the background! This is not words, guys. On the way back we were another adventure-hail started. Yes not so hilarious, as happens at home, and the size of a small cherry. It was very painful, it was nowhere to hide. In the end, my girls have gotten bruises memory on all hands and feet. Seeing that all the tourists also moved to the bus, I decided to run and again not miscalculate-managed to buy tickets on the next flight. Those who walked more slowly, probably had to wait an hour or even two. In conclusion, I wish to say that we are delighted with the Sunshine Meadows, and the only unpleasant moment was the price a short trip on a school bus-CAD25 per person! It seems to me, shamelessly operator enjoys its monopoly position. But, if we in Banff again, I would have repeated this route.
