4.4/5 based on 2,200+ reviews on the web
Witness a raging torrent of white water at Bow Falls. Listen to the hypnotic roar as the water tumbles down the dramatic cascade. Though not particularly high, the falls are wide, and the power on display is undeniable. If you can handle some stairs, the trail continues beyond the falls and is worth exploring for a peaceful stroll where you might spot some wildlife. Nicely accessible from a nearby carpark, the falls offer something for everyone to enjoy. • Easy to find and traverse, this is a must see on your visit to Banff Springs! Easy access from the Fairmont Banff Springs.
  • The waterfall itself is not particularly impressive, but the views around provide very good opportunities for photography. It is worthwhile to stay an hour or two given the proximity to the town of Banff for here,

  • Surprisingly powerful and impressive falls. I don't know that I would go much out of my way to see them, but they were definitely worth a short detour when I was in Banff already.
  • We were so impressed coming from the prairies of Saskatchewan, what a beautiful Spot, I wished we'd had more than one afternoon in Banff, so much to discover!!!!
  • The trail can be quite icy in the winter! Well worth the time to hike both sides of the river; paved trails, nice views, and very little elevation gain. A relaxing stroll.
  • Absolutely breath taking. There's also a great walking path that goes along the falls that gives great vantage points.
  • It is always a refreshing experience coming down to the falls and enjoying the view combined with the breeze (potentially chilly) that comes along with it as the water slides.
