Banff Indian Trading Post, Banff
(4.1/5 based on 20 reviews on the web)
Shop for Indian crafts and souvenirs at a store more than a century old at Banff Indian Trading Post. Part store, part museum, this site offers a wide choice of genuine Native Canadian handicrafts, sterling silver jewelry, and pottery. You can purchase American Indian wear as well, like moccasins, mukluks, and fur clothes. The shop showcases lots of taxidermy crafts exhibited along the walls representing local wildlife. Ask the owner of the shop to show you the Merman--a creature of legends that is a mixture of animals; it's located in a tank in the back room and can be easily missed. • A MUST to visit if you're in Banff. They have incredible items for sale here and I'm sure you'll find something you love that you weren't even looking for. Very unique items along with some higher priced quality goods.
  • Cool store. A damn shame i didnt have $59.98, the price of the "lil native starter kit"... (it was a joke im sorry, dont beat me up)
  • fun spot lots of stuff to shop at. tourist stuff
  • Way too many dead animals on the road. Pretty sad actually to see such beautiful animals mounted on the wall and not in the wild.
  • Purchase 6 month ago the thread of the bottom moccasin is breaking apart. Like them but to expense for only lasting 6 month.
