  • What a wonderfully refurbished piece of history. The mill has been made into several "stores" of varying artist. Each filled with creativity of different calibers and styles.. The grounds are walkable...  more »
  • The choice of art that is for sale is outstanding, and handmade products as well, would highly recommend for adults to attend not a great place for kids however
  • Alton Mill is a great place to visit, lots to see, all sorts of Art & of course Gemma Jewellery, plus other events all year long. Beautiful outdoor grounds, there is also a cafe inside. Please look up...  more »

  • A great place to spend an afternoon. A nice little caffe. Very scenic and has a little museum of how the mill used to be.
  • We had our wedding planned for 6 months in advance to be ready for our big day, The events coordinator, was so unorganised,( she must be new) because she certainly is not very professional when it comes to customer service or satisfaction, as well as setting up wedding venues at there establishment. Not only did she state in her email correspondence that all we had to do is give a number to hold the date for first refusal, she never followed up as she said she would on a monthly basis, she gave the date away before consulting us, and was very rude when it came to dealing with the situation she created, kindly telling us is was our fault for trusting her. I would look else where when booking a wedding venue, unless you want to be extremely disappointed by dealing with this place.
  • We stumbled on Alton Mill accidentally and had a really tasty lunch in the cafe, and browsed around the artists studios. We found it very interesting and was surprised it was not busy. I think it is a great way to spend a couple of hours and it appears to be an undiscovered gem.
  • Nice and inspirering place. Lovely to actually get to meet the artists and hear them tell about their work.
