  • We passed this on route to Lake Louise just off Highway 1 - easy spot to stop but not much there really. Locals use the area for cycling/running etc Picnic area so nice place to stop for 1/2 hour brea...  more »
  • When we first arrived we thought we were lost because there were no ponds. This might be a good place to stretch your legs but there are so many better places to spend your time in the area.
  • Stopping here, we were rather disappointed to find that the ponds were dry, probably due to the time of year. However, the surrounding area is still quite attractive.

  • Nice place to have a firepit meal. You do not need to have a fire permit for this location either. The pond is usually dried up, but it offers a decent view still. There's no firewood on location, therefore, you need to bring your own firewood. From my experience there was no place to get water, so I recommend bringing your own enough to put out your own fire and maybe your neighbours. Some don't put them out properly and leave.
  • Cascade Ponds is a local favourite, especially for barbeques. The shallow water and expansive surrounding grassy areas make this a nice area for families with young children.
  • Great scenic drive
  • No fish but great scenic area.
  • Typical Canadian Rocky type of park with nice views around.
