  • If the protein component of insects you will confirm the most suitable to feed humanity is good to prepare for going to visit what more than a sanctuary, is a colourful outdoor market in Skun (or, if you prefer that Skuon or Skuon) in Cambodia, on the road from the capital of Phnon Penh leads to Ankgor temple site. Passed the most puzzling moment, understandable a Westerner like me or absolutely refuses to play the game or gets thrown headlong to savour the bustling mosaic of aromas and tastes that are offered by street vendors and merchants. I chose the latter, and I don't regret it! Good start with the larvae, tending to sweet, then move on to cockroaches (should remove the keratinous part of the wings, before eating). To follow grasshoppers of all sizes and in many different ways (even in this case, in my opinion and especially the giant ones, you must remove the serrated part of the legs, before mouthing the insect); the most delicious-to my taste-the crispy Tarantula legs. I tried everything-repeat unabashed-save the Scorpion (bad memories from childhood I have prevented) and stuffed frogs (for saturation after you've swallowed everything else) and I must say it was a positive experience, both in terms of taste, both culturally ... The colour and vibrancy of anthropological market!

  • Local market where all kinds of insects (spider, cricket, grasshopper...) are sold cooked. Not tested! Quaint if you go there.

  • On the road between Phnom Penh and Kampong Cham, this market for insects is a see because you see all sorts of grilled insects may be drops. Pity that the proposed mounds are immersed in oil and what l we managed not to determine how long they expect d be consumed! We are deflated us and we just watched them.
