  • The Royal Residence, or the Royal Palace as it is often called in tourist brochures, is the Siem Reap home of Cambodia's King Norodom Sihamoni when he is in town. Normally he lives in a far more prest...  more »
  • If you came to Siem Reap, Angkor and watched a couple of local attractions and you have nothing more to see and nothing to do, you can visit this place. Royal residence is a very ordinary house without a fence and safety built in local Asian style. Outside, nothing special there, but get inside and see how the King will fail. That Park is opposite the residence of the same is nothing, but as he removed and trimmed with greenery amid the surrounding junkyard nearby streets it looks not bad. Ice cream can be enjoyed in the Park of the unknown production because natural cow's milk in Cambodia not to eat in mobile shops that distribute free Wi-Fi when you purchase anything from them. One feature of this park is that it's longer flying foxes, which according to legend the day guarding one of the statues of the Leper King, located across the street from the Park, and at night fly back into the jungle to protect the statue from the same King is in the temple complex of Angkor. But flying foxes you especially see it will not be possible, since the day they like pears hanging high up among the foliage in the crowns of trees, sometimes flying in the air from place to place. So if you like though as they consider have binoculars or a camera with good optics. This place is a part of the visit for many excursions it is unclear why. Probably because look especially to Siem Reap (except for Angkor) and the place on the road from the hotels to the other sights and sounds so proudly "the summer residence of the King" and "Park" flying foxes ":) Set a goal specifically to visit this city landmark I wouldn't. But passing or passing by looked to be on 15-20 minutes.
