Prasat Kravan, Siem Reap

4.0
Visit Prasat Kravan, which consists of five towers in a row, and admire the impressive bas-reliefs. Inspect the detail of the incredible brick carvings, as well as sculptures representing Vishnu and Laksmi. In the central tower, you can see more images of Vishnu, while looking for niches containing depictions of guardians. Next, visit the south and north towers, both of which are dedicated to Laksmi. As the French reconstructed the temple, they used bricks marked "CA," the sign of the Angkor Conservancy; keep an eye out for the mark as you wander the complex. • Prasat Kravan is soon see ruins. Walk from the parking lot, in the immediate proximity. This is the archaeological remains as a small but very interested.

  • We visited at the beginning of the small tour. Could be in ruins a beautiful mural of tourists less calm and relaxed to enjoy the ruins!

  • To change from ubiquitous sandstone at Angkor, this simpler temple dedicated to Vishnu is to see its beautiful brick and 3 representations of the God (to 8 arm 4 arms and on his horse).

  • One of the smaller Angkor temples, Prasat Kravan was created in the 10th century and boasts an impressive facade of red-brick symmetrical towers. The bright orange hue of the stone makes this temple a beautiful spot to stop off at. (Prasat Kravan is usually the first stop on longer tours of the Angkor temple complex.
  • Very nice place, calm and a nice surrounding nature. For me one of the nicest places in central Angkor town.
  • A little temple. But worst to see.
  • We can see reliefs of Vishnu and Lakshmi.
  • Nice temple. You can visit it as part of one of your loops discovering the many temples around.
