Made in Cambodia Market, Siem Reap

(200+ reviews on the web)
Flea Market
At Made in Cambodia Market you’ll find a colourful array of locally produced artisan goods. Unlike many markets in the region, here you’ll only see goods made and produced in Cambodia, many of which are made from recycled or "upcycled" materials. Although the market is small, you’ll find a collection of food, art, clothing, toys, homewares, and much more (depending on the day). A celebration of craftsmanship, this market has stalls that vary from recognized local designers to local NGOs. Whether you’re looking to buy some distinctive gifts, or simply learn more about the artisans, take your time to peruse what’s on offer. If you do buy from this market, you’ll feel proud that you’ve played a part in supporting Cambodians, through direct income and also skill development. • This market has only few shops and vendors and a massage parlor. I would say it is worth a visit and it will not take up more than 1 hour. The thing I like about the market is the unique design of the...  more »
  • A visit to the middle of the day. Try to open one at noon. Props are going on display to look pretty good. But space does require passing a long time in getting on the schedule would put.

  • The Made in Cambodia Market is one of the top places to visit in Siem Reap after your temple visit. If you are looking for a quality ambience with authentic handicraft, shops, fun and quality entertainment. All settled in the right ambience of Kings Road with its quality restaurants and coffeeshops. A visit to this market is one of the best experiences in Cambodia.
  • Recharge with an iced Cuban (espresso shot, sugar syrup, milk, $2.50) at Little Red Fox Espresso, then make your way two blocks north to Oum Khun Street for the thrice-weekly Well Made in Cambodia Market, a showcase for Cambodian design and craftsmanship now in its third year. Peruse over 40 stalls selling such wares as silk scarves by the designer Eric Raisina; wallets and document cases made from recycled packing material from Friends-International; and the beautiful vegetal lacquerware made with natural pigments at the workshop of Eric Stocker Laque & Textures.
  • Great initiative and promotion of Cambodian product. Tourist should shop there if they want to buy real Cambodian product and souvenir as other markets sell mix of imported product that made to look like local products.
  • This is the best market for Cambodian handicrafts. Beautiful setting, plenty of upscale bars & restaurants
  • Shinta Mani Siem Reap is pleased to present the Well Made in Cambodia community market and street fair. The Made in Cambodia Market The event which is held in the grounds of the Shinta Mani Resort is free and open to the public each Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 9pm. Made in Cambodia brings together the most exciting examples of craftsmanship in Cambodia today. Internationally recognized artisans and designers participating include Saomao, Grace Gecko Creations, Friends International and more. Visitors attending the market will have the opportunity to purchase fine quality artisan products and luxury goods that redefine what it means to be made in Cambodia today. Each item for sale has been produced by a new generation of talented Cambodians. The greatest benefit of the Well Made in Cambodia Market will be to these Cambodians, including many in need, through both direct income and skills development. Live entertainment, artist workshops and wholesale food will round out the market’s festive and diverse offerings. Note Shinta Mani (The Hotel) doesn't earn an income from this market and none of the stallholders pay any form of commissions on their sales The sole reason for this market is the creation of jobs “Let’s Create Khmer Jobs!”
