Explore the floating city's stilted structures, packed with fishers, craftspeople, boat-makers, and peculiar markets supplied by local crocodile and fish farms. Prepare for haggling and begging, as many retailers and solicitors can get rather pushy. • The village is about 20 km from Siem Reap, we reached independently by scooter not without difficulty getting lost several times, but was part of the adventure. You get a ticket counter where I thought they were kinda random price, do not speak English well, cost $25. Continue for another 3/4 km up to boats that are many. In short the visit consists in along the canals of this beautiful floating village (which isn't just float but are sort of piles). There are a temple and a church, the second stage is the tour (optional and pay $5 apiece) on a small rowboat guided by women through the rainforest, very pretty and unique, to finish shooting the motor boat to see the sunset on the Tonle Sap Lake! For us it was a beautiful experience, so much exciting than the drive to get there, a landscape full of light and vivid colors and rich. The sunset finale was the icing on the cake. Definitely quite pricey as experience in Cambodia if you also consider the current euro/dollar exchange rate, the ride didn't cost less than 40 bucks each but we liked it. Negative is that while touring on the rowing boat was forced to stop in front of another boat that would be the bar, where a self-styled little woman with a baby next asks you in all ways money, baby books, for drinks or to offer a drink to your barcaiola, I found it quite unpleasant and forced.
