  • Pakse occupied the temple near the entrance of the South Gate, and looked at him a few times, and one day he could see it, and it could climb up (although it was a bit dangerous), but it was a very good experience.

  • A towering 12-meter tall brick and laterite step-pyramid. Harshavarman I began construction or perhaps dedicated statues at the site in the early 10th century. It was later improved/restored by Rajendravarman II shortly after the capital was returned to Angkor from Koh Ker. According to inscriptions on the doorway, Rajendravarman II consecrated the temple with the installation of a golden Shiva image in 947AD. It may have also served as a funerary temple. Combine with a visit to the South Gate in the morning or Phnom Bakheng in the evening. Lighting is best in the morning.
  • If you want to find less tourist and more quite temple, then go here. There were no one when I was there so you can fully enjoy its beauty :) be careful on its stairs , it is very steep.
  • A very accessible masterpiece of Khmer architecture. No repair work and no fencing whatsoever!
  • Many tourists ignore this temple, but I highly recommend you to put in the list.
  • Non-touristic temple you can climb in a few minutes (but be careful and dont use the steps in the front, theyre the worst). We went here for the sunset when the popular spots seemed to full and had this place to ourselves. Absolutely fantastic experience and alot of fun since theres noone around Bring a flashlight to inspect the inside at the top and to safely climb down if it gets too dark.
