  • Pretty good museum, especially if you want to see 1000 Budda's & 1000 Krishnas. Layout is good and informative. Airconditioning is welcome relief after heat of Temple walks  more »

  • Great museum, we did the speaking tour as we didn't have much time and thought it might help us speed up but we still took 3 hours to look around here, which could have easily been a full day had we the time! We decided to go before visiting the temples which was great as we had some understanding of what we went to see. Definitely think this place is worth the visit although the speaking tour isn't that necessary as everything is very well explained throughout the museum.
  • Bear in mind I'm 22 so this review may only be relevant to similarly aged people: Pretty expensive at $12 entry and $5 for the audio tour. I feel like the price could definitely be brought down - using smart phones for the audio tour is nice but unnecessary. The briefing room is pretty much unneeded. I feel like it was trying to strike me with awe of the museum. I wouldn't recommend paying for the audio tour, there's enough information inside. However, if you're really into learning about Buddhism, then maybe it's worth considering. If you listened to every recording on the audio tour and read every bit of information then you could easily spend 3 - 4 hours here. Though this really depends on how much you're interested in looking at minute changes in statue design over the course of history!
  • This museum is great to better understand what you see in the Angkor ruins! The explanations in the audio guide and the videos around the museum are very interesting. This museum is way better than the Phnom Penh one.
  • Really nice place to see the historic related things. Very nice atmosphere. It has nice video materials, and amazingly beautiful rooms.
  • Good to go before going to the temples to know a little of the Khmer culture. They don't let you take pictures inside the galleries. Is a very big museum, we didn't do the whole thing as we had a little time in Siem Reap.
