Nearby the independence monument there is the statue of a king. Very nice monument but there is no cover for the sun so it can get pretty hot.  more »

Nice place to relax. You can do jogging or walk you dog along the grass garden. Night view there is beautiful.

The statue is dedicated to Preah Sihanouk (the late King Father), whose statue faces the east toward the Mekong River. King Sihanouk had a big influence on the planning of the capital city. It is located in a park that splits a boulevard bearing the name of the late King's father, Preah Suramarit. People walk and jog in the park that has some water fountains and that is adjacent to the Independence Monument (another undertaking by King Sihanouk).

A statue built to pay tribute to the King Father Norodom Sihanouk, located in the midst of a long field. Be good to read up the history of the king before visiting the place to appreciate the history of it.
