Russian Market, Phnom Penh

(3.2/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
Indulge in a shopping frenzy at Russian Market, Phnom Penh’s large discount retail area. Countless stalls, small shops, and food outlets will make you dizzy as you browse through cotton and silk clothing items, multicolored trinkets, or handicrafts suspended from the ceiling. A variety of fresh seafood, produce and spices, and a wide selection of motorbike spare parts offer something for anyone’s taste. Referred to as Russian by foreigners because of the dominance of Soviets here in the 1980s, the market has since evolved into a truly global retail outlet. Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Russian Market by using our Phnom Penh vacation builder.

  • We stopped off to have a look around, brilliant place, lots of different stalls. All very friendly and don't be afraid to have some friendly bargaining.  more »
  • This market is hot and crowded they have exactly the same items as the Central Markets but more expensive so if u have been to one market this is no different.  more »

  • Been here several times. Mostly there is nothing much to go for unless you come for souvenirs. Cheap brand-fakes, always full of pirate low-quality CDs among other things. A lot of Made in China products. Streets and quarters surrounding the market are a much better quality clothing. Beware of gem-stones scams and overpriced fruits.
  • Repulsive, smelly offensive!! The place is a bloody rubbish bin. Wreaking of mould and various nasty stenches. Russians would use this as toilet! The goods are all knock-off rubbish! I don't know what you think your time is worth but that supposed "bargain" is going to cost you 3 or more hours of your time. It takes a minimum of 40 minutes to get in and out of this hole as traffic is massively congested
  • The local name of this market is Toul Tumpong Market. You can find the brand cloths, backpack..... with cheap price. At night, there are lot of street food at the front of this market. This market is popular for tourist Souvenir.
  • It is the place to shop for souvenirs and discounted name-brand clothing. From tourist crap to genuine products. You have to search through. Great place to spend some time. Be aware, it can be very, very hot. Best to go early.
  • This place good for foreiner who find a sovenir in a phnom penh round trip.
