Phnom Penh's Night Market, Phnom Penh
Categories: Flea Markets, Shopping
Phnom Penh's Night Market offers all sorts of souvenirs, clothes, and street food in a bustling setting very popular with locals. Indulge in some serious retail therapy as you browse the stalls and stands of the market, where you can pick up everything from knock-off fashion items to handmade crafts. Grab a sausage-on-a-stick or some noodles to refuel, then treat yourself to a cool beer or fresh-squeezed fruit juice. Take a break from shopping and enjoy a few performances on the market stage--you'll notice these are not tourist entertainment, but rather a great way to bone up on your knowledge of the local pop music. Keep in mind that you'll need to bargain hard to get a decent price on your buys. Come here in night hours. Life music, cheap clothes and a lot of cheap local junk food. This is great place to start communications with locals . Just take some food here and stard relaxing :)
Poor even by tourist market standards. Not a lot of stalls and those there are are all very samey. Worth a 10 min stroll then walk into the back streets and see the real Phnom Penh - makes you feel as... read more »

Probably our favourite place in Phnom Penh, relaxing market with plenty of clothes, watches and other items at good prices. Pleasant live-music performances topped off with a fantastic food court out back. 1-2 dollars will get you a huge plate of delicious fried rice/noodle with meat and veges; the same price will get you a plate of fried local food and fresh rice rolls. This can all be eaten on a comfortable mat with great atmosphere. Only complaint is the repetition, all the food stalls are basically copy-pasted with a couple of fruit and ice-cream stalls thrown in while the items in the other stalls repeat fairly quickly. All-in-all, best place in Phnom Penh for those on a budget looking for good food and a market, very friendly to foreigners but don't expect to get much out of repeat visits.
The nice night market where you can buy mobile phone SIM, clothes and Cambodian made souvenairs. More local and foregners go and visit there. It opens every Sat and Sun from 5pm - 12pm along with live Khmer music band.
Great food. Freshly made. Not much shopping. Enjoyed dining area.

Very small and mostly clothes, the daytime central market has ten times more variety and better products.
A good place for visit during evening. A little bit crowded and sell only local made products.
