  • Our 5 person family went on a tour of the tuk tuk service on Sundays. The cost of the center of Phnom Penh is $20, time 3 hours. Our driver took us first to the golden pagoda (a wonderful! Worth it! ) then crossing the Mekong and a brief tour of the island. In the first place we went to private rural mini-factories. Katerina, a wonderful rural and rustic atmosphere, show everything they can and do not invent false history. They admit what they are doing on the site, what they buy, where they take a silk thread. We bought from them several beautiful silk scarves for a very decent money ($10 per piece). How do we know it's a silk? We do not know, but believe. Cotton also were and no one tried to tell us it's Silk. Later we visited the official website of Manufaktura and there we saw the silkworms in action. Very cool and informative tour.

  • I learned how to go to the staff of the Ferry Pier near WAT Phnom, Koh Dach. Go to the ferry terminal in a tuk-tuk Cambodia-Japan Friendship Bridge over Highway 6 in. And take a ferry with tuk-tuk drivers, go to Koh Dach. By the way ferry arrives at Koh Dach in about 10 minutes. Ferry passengers many locals, tourists are rarely found. And if you arrive at Koh Dach, again, take a tuk-tuk to tour the island to that. On the island of Koh Dach and other silk Island water village, Temple, has been around the island in a tuk-tuk. On the road is not paved road will be far from the ferry terminal and. People who live their lives by farming and silk industry in the island and also were also the people who are living above water in the Mekong River. Is filled with nature, often saw cows and dogs. It was also characteristic of island children also often. Was exactly, and on the opposite bank of the Mekong River Phnom Penh City obviously different, in a very quiet, calm time flows slowly. People on the island of Koh Dach as simple warm and my heart was warm. It was very good. This is the good memories. Please visit you too?. It will warm your heart.
