Kep National Park, Kep

4.2
#1 of 7 in Parks in Kep
Get in touch with nature and examine exotic plants and wildlife at Kep National Park. Established in 1993, the park spreads across 50 sq km (19 sq mi) of hilly landscape, with some 8 km (5 mi) of walking trails within the small mountain range. On your hike, enjoy the view of Phu Quoc and the Bokor Ranges on the southern and western side, while to the east lie a marine reserve and its picturesque islands. Due to the lack of amenities along the way, bring your own food and drink, and ensure you make it back before dark. Before heading on your trek, fuel up at the onsite cafe with an affordable meal. • Nice view with motorbike road or walk not for the car but pickup truck might be okay. You can view the sea, get fresh air and look around the big trees on the mountain with some wildlife.
  • Worth doing it. One of the must of Kep. You can do it in scooter and make some stops in view points and when you want to trek in the forest. Take a good pair of shoes. You can do the butterfly farm at the end it is really nice.
  • Lots of trails and sign posts to follow...if you do the loop bare in mind the last 3km is on a sealed road back to the start with no shade. At 3.5km there is a cold drink stop 170m down at butterfly valley...gibbon retreat now closed but this is next door.
  • Fresh natural park and good view from the mountain.
  • Beautiful view and good place to walk. You will see a lot of thing from beach town of kep, small mountain rangs, seaside and salty field. You feel like nature!

Where to stay in Kep

Kep has a set of accommodations to suit a range of budgets and styles. The area around the crab market has the greatest choice of options, with aged villas turned into guesthouses both luxury and standard, and resorts of bungalows and stand-alone villas. Some of the more budget-friendly resorts have bungalows with shared bathrooms and limited amenities, while the more luxurious resorts center on old French colonial villas and pack in extras, such as restaurants, pools, and spas. Follow the coastal road down to Kep Beach for the same accommodation types, but with fewer choices.
