Kep Beach, Kep
(1.9/5 based on 150 reviews on the web)
Walk along the clear shallow waters and white sands of Kep Beach, a small beach only 1 km (0.6 mi) long surrounded by green forest. Local fruit and seafood markets line the shore, and remain infamous in this area-- Kep is well known for its crab markets-- so don't miss the chance to try Kep's blue crab. After relaxing on the beach, head to the various monuments found in the local vicinity. Despite the popularity of the beach with locals-- especially at the weekends-- take care when swimming here as many do not recommend it due to the impurities in the water which can make you sick. Try to avoid national holidays due to heavy crowds. Rentable chairs, ATM machines, and shower/hygiene facilities can all be found nearby. Kep Beach is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Kep Edition.

  • This stretch of beach is quite small and nothing special. Less suitable for swimming. We ran only on the promenade, there are small shops and chairs to rent. In the sea, were only a few locals and some tourists.

  • Kep Beach is small in size, not like Sihanoukville beach. Water also not clean. Most are local people. Still can spend evening time with family & friends. Relaxing breeze feels good.
  • Quite a small sandy beach, no waves, very open to the road where locals work so quite overlooked. Nothing special but an ok sandy beach. Not that much to do in Kep.
