  • You arrive at Those Phat after a couple of hours by Bus to hangout for taking a scooter or a boat. A remote place (thank God). To those who find a community that Phat deals with Eco-tourism. Let the data, after a brief interview, with some boys who take care of arranging accommodation and excursions. You can hike from 1 up to 5 days. The community is powered by generators, at night there is a power outage. We stayed 2 nights. If you don't come here, you will find hotel bad and you complain about everything. A little bar to relax is beside the point then just stalls. Great for what we needed. A big good luck to this community. We in Cambodia, contingencies are commonplace, the beautiful is this!! Have a good trip.

  • We are full of enthusiasm to Chi Phat, attracted by the very well done website and that really gives the impression that a multitude of activities we will be proposed. We decided to get there by boat, $ 10 per person turned into a $ 30 for us two. The ride on the river remains a good time. Somewhat cool reception, the experience of two weeks in Cambodia has allowed us to not be too destabilised. Our bungalow was really overall dirty and rotten humidity limit. Not at all up to the $ 18 requested. A first stroll through the village, we find that waste management is also disastrous for the rest of the country, the garbage floating in the pools. Pushing slightly to the North we discover that Butterflies Island facilities (high range according to Lonely Planet housing) are totally abandoned. The next morning we set off for a one day trek, accompanied by a young guide speaking broken English (worse than ours), his company remained friendly despite a short stride. Visit of falls, passage of Fords with sometimes the water up to the belt and a lot of current, nice swimming downstream a small fall. Meals (breakfast and dinner) at the visitor center are nice. We were certainly not enough to enjoy the ambiance of the place. The next day, after we left, we noticed that the trek was charged US $ 25 per person instead of the 15 shown on the site. This last finding has reinforced our general impression, overall Bill compared to the benefits under the guise of eco-tourism to all relative reality.
