  • Interesting piece of architecture representing local history. It is completing the view of the valley.  more »
  • It's a really magnificent monument. It can be seen from a distance from many places in the old town of Veliko Tarnovo.  more »
  • Hardly worth the walk up to the monument itself, as it’s best viewed from across the river. Up close it’s rather rough (in line with expectations really) and nothing too special, unlike the history...  more »

  • ♿️⚠️No ramp found, roughly 15 steps steps up to the platform however. Once you are up there the ground is quite flat. The walk over is quite nice in either daylight or at night, ⌚️it'll take you roughly 15-25 minutes from the town centre depending on your speed. Walking over the bridge introduces you to the whole city, climbing up the steps and standing in front of the monument is amazing! It's quite an impressive and powerful monument! 🥤🚾The building behind the monument seems refreshments and have ammenaties as well if you need
  • Awesome monument with big history. Also visit the museum to see some awesome paintings. Nice viewpoint to take photos to the old city
  • One of the biggest and baddest monument I've seen in Bulgaria. Also, the view you get of the city from this location is pretty amazing. Fun fact: To the contrary of most horseman sculptures around the world, the position of the horse's legs are not related to the way the king died. In this specific case, the more feet are on the ground, the more powerful was the king ridding it.
  • It is spectacular and impressive seen up close. The road there is very nice. An experience worth having.
  • This monument is huge. Can be seen from the sightseeing terraces in the city. It worths to stop by. Also the bridge to the monument has a nice view
