Varna Archaeological Museum houses the oldest gold treasure in the world, dating back to 4600 to 4200 BCE. You can view more than 2,000 golden objects, including a golden scepter, the symbol of a monarch's power. Among the museum's collection of more than 100,000 artifacts, you can examine ceramics, coins, cult items, a golden necropolis, icons, jewelry, and weapons. Exhibits are categorized by historical periods: prehistoric, Thracian, ancient, medieval, Ottoman, and Bulgarian National Revival. On your way to the exhibition halls, note the decorated walls of the corridor that surrounds the building. The museum also houses a library, children's education museum, gift shop, and cafeteria.   • Archaeological Museum and call themselves, as well as medieval icons. History of Thracian history from Varna to expand as a colonial city, Greece, then this area can learn more.

  • Absolutely interesting and worth seeing. The Varna gold treasure is a "must". There's always an interesting exhibition in the Museum. Point deduction just because here and there a renovation / modernization of advantage would be.

  • Pay 7 euros or something to enter the Museum. Was empty and we decided to not enter into it. Is well located.
