At Sozopol Archeological Museum, see urns, artifacts, and art representing the culture and traditions of the town's inhabitants from the 6th millennium BCE to the 17th century CE. Walk through two sections of the museum, which divide the collection into the archeological part and the Christian art section. View anchors and bayonets of ancient civilizations, and browse through a variety of extravagant Greek vases and amphorae. Look for relics of John the Baptist, preserved in an alabaster casket. The site also has numerous scripts, maps, and photographs that describe historical information and the museum's workings.   • Provides insight into the historical development of buildings and utensils. Many ceramics and coins. There is a lift for wheelchairs or elderly. Honestly the second time would not be interesting.

  • Well worth a visit, Shows the history and surroundings of Sozopol (Apolonia) which used to be part of the Greek empire. 
  • 1. Sleeping staff. 2. not systematically collection. Text is not connected to things. 3. No audio guide. It is really pity in such great place so awful museum. After Neseber museum it looks very bad.
