Ravadinovo Castle, Sozopol

(4.1/5 based on 380+ reviews on the web)
For a glimpse of what ancient castles must have looked like when they were new, visit Ravadinovo Castle. The castle is an extravagant combination of various architectural and decorative styles--though it is not historically authentic. Green ivy climbs the building's exterior and its tall steeples. Stroll outside alongside fountains, garden statues, and tiny bridges. Listen to the sounds of parrots talking, and watch peacocks displaying their plumage or swans floating on the lake. The castle features an art gallery, wine cellar, and several large halls. Make Ravadinovo Castle part of your personalized Sozopol itinerary using our Sozopol family vacation planner.

  • A wonderful place for a stroll. Fabulously, Romantic. Beautiful gardens, a Lake, many different animals — almost any Zoo! :) With children will be! After the walk, you can eat them right there. Tasty enough, but the truth is that a little expensive. But there all at inflated prices. But still, great! Recommend!

  • Vacationing in Bulgaria in the summer of 2016. On nearby attractions son found information on the Internet, and after breakfast we sat in the bus and were going in the right direction. On this day we decided to drive to Bourgas, wander around the parks, but not in the centre left and drove to the bus station. And there the bus to Sozopol. About this city, we read a lot of interesting and, without hesitation, decided to visit it. Rode 40 minutes. Old city with narrow streets and two-story houses, very similar to Nessebar. All places of interest in the Center. all 40 minutes Watched-50. I didn't want to go Home, that's remembered about Castle "in the wind". It is located near Diulevo (8 km), but buses go there 2 times a day and do not stop at the Castle, and go to the village. So the castle we walked quite a decent distance. But it was worth it! Input 400 Leva per person, more would not pay. At the entrance you are photographed with the King, and the output you can pick up a decent quality photos for 5 leva. Everywhere can be photographed, and photographed there that: both the Castle and the Knights, and a pond with swans and peacocks, and the Chapel, and an underground room where the heat and wants to stay ...))) And flowers! Such diversity of manicured flowers and beautifully manicured trees and shrubs I haven't seen anywhere else. Gorgeous Lily, verbena, carnation, roses ... Scent circle divine! Hiked and photographed three hours. Time is not limited, but need to get to the village to the bus at 16.30. The Castle has a café, you can grab a bite to eat. As the saying goes, returned home tired but satisfied, and have not regretted a single minute that went, although direct access to Solnechnog Bank was up as much as 3: Ravadinovo-Sozopol-Bourgas-sunny beach. But this trip was the most vivid and memorable vacation. And for dinner, we still have time to))).

  • Already many have written reviews, that's right. Seat pleasant. Want to give a few tips. Firstly, bring food, because the Castle particularly nowhere around him-even more so. There's only ice cream and Café with relatively high prices, where else might not be seats, if rain and lots of tourists. Secondly, some of the settlements, for example, from the town of Sozopol, where we were going to Castle free transport. The driver of the van can you tell how many would go back, but honestly-this is unlikely. Cheating through time. So rely only on themselves. No more claims, and we are very satisfied with the visit, had a great time. :)

  • It's a great attraction where old times meet modern, with nice landscape, fountains, lake and small area with animals. Highly recommended to visit if you are in the region
  • Really disappointing place. It's in the middle of a field without any road, parking etc. Extremely dirty surroundings. Too much of everything inside without any idea. Staff is not kind at all. Trying to earn money from everything inside, even toilets are paid. Worst given 5 euro since a long time. No safety there, construction works everywhere are even not surrounded by fences, metal peaces standing out of the ground can kill someone.
  • The best place to visit! Real life fairy tale castle. I love it!!
  • Awesome gardening and magical place!
  • One of the best things to see for any age near Sozopol (be careful, last bus back is at 18:40).
